What gave you the itch to build your first frame?

What pitfalls did you encounter the first time?

What hard-earned advice would you give to newbies?

For the pros, what convinced you that this should become your livelihood?

thanks for that link, I haven't heard from Suzy for quite
a while (she posted over on CR when she first started).
she seem to have come a long way since then.
