I have a quick question about this one. Is this real? Did someone actually rig their lights to have the timing that was in the videos, or was this some extensive editing job? If anybody knows, thanks.

I've been wondering the same thing. Which would be more difficult? Set up some sort of elaborate light timing system or do some elaborate editing? Whichever it is, I enjoy watching it.

It is the real thing. There's an post here somewhere that links to an article about the guy shutting it down because of a traffic accident from the congestion around his house.

I don't think that is a live video. It looks to me like the lit-up little trees or whatever they are on the driveway are moved between frames. If it is a real house and lights, it must be a compilation of still shots merged into a film, similar to the stop motion film in the original King Kong.

I can't say whether that one is real or not, but it could be. There is a similar (though less obnoxious) one in my neighborhood. The guy also has an FM transmitter so you can hear the music in your car.
I don't know if anyone is selling a consumer product to do it (yet), but if you can't live without it, do a search on "programmable logic controllers".
