when did you see them? i came across them somehow a couple years ago and have had trouble finding up to date info on them. i'm not sure if they're even still a band.

man, i used to be way into noise. used to do live noise djing to video and such. i have been out of the loop for a long time, but was way into the japanese stuff (of course, merzbow, masonna, aube), bastard noise (not so much the early man is the bastard stuff, though), leif elggren, runzelstirn and gurgelstock, etc. i'd have to pull out my old records to remember more.

C.C.C.C. are my favorite japanoise band. MSBR was great too.

have you seen the runzelstirn and gurgelstock film with the japanese girls fisting their throats and puking up colored liquids into tupperware?

The first time was the best. I think at that time he said he was touring the states, and just inventing something different for each show as he drove from venue to venue.

noise can eat a dick. whenver people do noise shows they're just making noise and can't redo it ever again. hell, some people don't even play on anything, they just roll around on bubble wrap and moan while hitting themself in the face with a package of uncooked bacon. zzzzzzzzz

i've heard hot cross, I don't like them but I shouldn't diss them either.... although it's not something I'd stick in the same catigory as local H, that is to say I'm not comparing the two bands as you put it

edit: local h are somewhat hated down there in your parts I take it? honest question

hot cross is equally as awful. in that case, toss in blood brothers. sounds like the locust with the hot hot heat singer.

the slackers, on the other hand, are probably one of the best ever.

I have been listening to a lot of oi! lately. I know it is ****ty music but oh so fun to get drunk to. Cocksparrer, Sham 69, Vanilla Muffins.

On a completely different note, what is some good blues along the lines of Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf?

I'm trying to find some old skate rock from the late '80s. Anyone know how I can find Excel and Underdog? I know Underdog was on the Caroline label but I'm not sure if it's still around. I have no idea who put out Excel and would really like some help trying to find those bands. Can any of you guys help?
I also need to pick up Bad Brains' Quickness, but that should'nt be hard to find.

Currently checkin' the new Magus album, Wolf's Return which is fuggin' amazing! Also listening to the Melvins tribute album 'We Reach' which has some good stuff on it but the Melvins are a very difficult band to do justice. As it happens I also saw Mastadon cover The Bit live on their last two trips to Glasgow and that is one helluva successful cover!
