I dunno. I like EL-P as a producer. His beats are usually quite hard -> Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein.

cold vein is a classic----fantastic damage is not (IMO) ... feels to me like cold vein was the apex of his work, all downhill from there (self-parody?)

I thought Murs was pretty flawless until he did a wrestling commercial with Cena... ...wherein Cena (the dictionary definition of a whack rapper,) dropped a rhyme. Ugh.

I dunno, I like it. I've only been listening to lots of hip hop for a couple years now - occasionally I'll go back and listen to something I was into when I first started digging it and realize it's not that great. Maybe I'll do that with Fantastic Damage, but as of now I'm feeling it.

people have a love/hate thing with RZA---I'm into it. something about the genius on this record, I don't know, his timing felt bad and things felt really obvious. maybe I need to give it more time. but: couldn't they have left cappa driving that cab?? never much cared for the guy, but the `comeback' is not.

absolutely, like i said, i was speaking only of this record. I like rza as a lyricist plenty, the bobby digital records are great, I'm just saying he is more than likely the weakest lyrical link on 8-diagrams.

someone on another board was saying ghost and rae weren't feeling the beats supposedly on this record, but for not feeling the beats, ghost sure spits over them tons.
