Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - OT: What music is everyone listening to?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
dead and gone put on one of the worst live shows i've ever experienced... but the show was with talk is poison who were rad and saved the evening
man there is an awesome array of musical tastes on this board. i love that people sit around and listen to jazz. that rules.
as for me i have sort of a crappy hipster-meets-geek taste in music
for the guy listening to bright eyes: don't let people flame you. it's honest song writing. so what.
to the guy listening to all the hardcore: i ****ing love cursed. and kid dynamite. but cursed just has a special sound. sort of crusty i guess.
for me over the past week it has been some serious Eastern Youth. if you do no know this band but enjoy indie rock and/or things of/from japan, you should check them out. they rule so hard it hurts. i'd actually just sent this track to a friend a couple days ago or something, so you guys can suck up the last of this ysi link.

i'm going to put that song on the winter mixtape i'm currently making.
other things to hit my playlist in the past week are pg 99 (always <3), downy (more japanese indie rock... spacey weird stuff that some like to compare to radiohead. one of my favorite bands ever), aphex twin, and atm, it's ratatat.
i love music. though currently it takes a back seat to riding my bicycle. i had an awesome ride in the freezing air tonight. i'm stoked on it.

what're you selling, i'll keep an eye out for stuff, maybe your possessions will be passed on to someone you're connected to through an internets messageboard
ive been contemplating selling off some of my records... i have a lot of stuff i dont listen to all that much that "the kids" would pay a ton for.
i also have about 60 silkscreened show posters i need to sell.

But lately I've been listening to Metric alot. And I'm also a big fan of show tunes. I listen to the Wicked and Evita soundtracks alot.

The Cure while working on my bike this evening
and I'd like to address this to everyone: 'Your favorite band rules!'
Thank you very much.

the tipping point or something newer? tipping point is good. better than phrenology

i didn't think that "phrenology" was all that bad, on the other hand, it says a lot about an album when the two hidden songs at the end steal the whole thing.
has anyone here heard cage's "hell's winter"? i picked it up a month or so ago and it's been in my player ever since. the new talib kweli is good as well, just got it and it's been in the rotation, it has a song with mf doom, which is always a good thing. his and talib's collaboration on 'old school' off the "dangerdoom" album is pretty fly as well.

mf doom is a silly wabbit. I can't listen to 'underground' hiphop... I've gotten burnt out on it. Early/Mid 90's is where its at. I've had T.R.O.Y. in my head for a week, and its not getting old.

somafm.com, beat blender is on right now, my usual mix is is deep/latin house and/or anything on the bazillion labels by ltj bukem.
work is usually done to punk, speed metal, classical (cello and piano concertos preferred), jazz (miles, ella, lady day), old school country, or trance (go ahead and laugh, i'm used to it).
Dude, I listen to Groove Salad all day at work!
I've also been listening to Sirius Radio alot, but it's still just the same old crap over and over. You should never have to hear the same song 8 times in an 8 hour day.

I've been listening to some weird stuff lately, I got on a nostalgia kick so I plulled a bunch of records out from middle school and high school like the first Appleseed Cast record and the first joshua ep and hwm-forever and counting and eh.... It's like torture but I love it. Other than that though it's been a lot of Television, The Damned, Magazine, The Buzzcocks, M83, Judas Priest (as always), [ducks for cover] clap your hands say yah, prefuse 73, God Speed You Black Emperor, Mogwai... yah it's been a weird week.
