toots is ****ing amazing, but i would say he's more reggae... all that old **** kind of overlaps anyway. good suggestion.
i can't believe i didn't mention king django, but anything he's involved in has been good: version city side projects, w/ the scrucialists, solo stuff, stubborn all stars, etc. so good. all of it.

all lightning bolt's stuff is great, but again i'm not sure i could listen to them while riding without running into a wall. high-activity music takes all my attention away... which is why i love it so much

i agree, I saw them live in athens last year, they were the opener, and I was absolutely blown away. Its by far one of my fav albums right now.
