Thank God Hip-Hop finally died. It's just a shame someone had to create an "album" to promote that fact.

Oh man. That was the worst statement ever.

I have not read all 115 pages but you have to listen to RODRIGO y GABRIELA.

Its two people playing guitar but they sound like they have three drummers behind them. Go to www.rodgab.com and click on either the Letterman or Craig Ferguson links for "you've got to SEE AND HEAR them to believe it" performances. This music will add 8 MPH without doubt!

I've only seen hatebreed twice[2000, 2002]. I'm mostly going for glassjaw. I missed their Worcester show, but heard from a friend[that is going to the ct show with me] that is was ****ing insane.

humancongereel
12-30-06, 11:04 PM
yeah, if you did some sweet kicks and spun your arms a bunch that would rule.

thats a negative, I somehow make my way up the front at a lot of shows.

humancongereel
12-30-06, 11:06 PM
sorry, i'm being snarky. i actually hate hatebreed. i used to like "under the knife" when i was a bunch younger, but yeah. hardcore started moving in a direction i didn't like, or i started moving in a direction that took me away from it, but either way...it started to really wear on me and i came to really dislike the scene.

so anyway, sorry. i was being a snarky *******.

BuddyMike

I'm not a fan of them either, like I said, mostly going for glassjaw.

what do you think of the new owen album? personally, i like it a lot; i really like the "femme fatale" cover, and the first 3 songs blow me away.

he's one of my favorite musicians and i love everything mike kinsella has been in.

Aves
12-31-06, 03:27 PM
^ I agree. I like it a lot. I still think "I Do Percieve" is my favorite but, I've only listened to the new one a few times so far. I love all of the Kinsella projects. Glad to hear someone else enjoys them on here.

BuddyMike
12-31-06, 04:20 PM
the kinsella projects are good.
Owen is hilarious live and handles hecklers like no other. For some reason Bobby Burg[joan of arc, make believe, love of everything] remembers me and my friend whenever we see one of his bands.

i've seen owen 4 or 5 times in boston, and i agree, he always has a great interaction going on with the crowd. the only disappointing thing is when he's too drunk, or too unwilling, to finish some songs; but still a great performer.
joan of arc is also ridiculously tight live.

BuddyMike
12-31-06, 05:55 PM
did you go to the owen/joan of arc show at great scott back in september? He wasn't too drunk that show. He did his owen set then played drums for joan of arc. I thought nate did drums for joan of arc, but that was my first time seeing them. I've seen make believe a bunch though.

Also owen will be playing there again in april.

yeah, i was at that show. i was impressed with owen's set, though i've seen him better. i too thought nate did drums for JOA, but was really impressed with mike's drumming (he also did drums for cap'n jazz, i think). i've seen make believe twice, though both times i felt the crowd didn't give them the respect they deserved.

The first time I saw them I didn't know who they were. It was the summer of 2004 and it was at the middle east upstairs. Noon time show opening for Cex. I saw them in st augustine too. When I saw Love of everything this summer I told bobby that I first saw make believe 2 years ago with cex at the middle east and he was like, "MAN, you were at that show, that was like noon time, there were like 10 people there" Then I said, how the hell do you remember that?
