ha ha....that put me in a reminiscing mood last night, then i went to a friend's house and a few folks showed up and it turned into a dance party with op ivy and skanking and ****...and it felt good in the same sort of way.

Oink, I'm cool. It starts to trail off towards the end of the album but the first six/seven songs are golden.

Crazy... I just about to post that I'm listening to the Unicorns, then I saw your post.

I'm dissappointed that the Unicorns broke up! I saw Islands live and it just wasn't the same.

the unicorns are freaking amazing.

to me honestly islands sucks. it just isnt anywhere near as good. maybe that song tsuxxit.

The Unicorns are amazing, but I honestly think Islands are also amazing. Rough Gem is probably one of the cactchiest songs ever.

and I get to see Of Montreal in March, the same day in which I am also hopefully participating in my first alleycat race.

I wouldn't really consider Squarepusher techno.
He fits more into the IDM category. I can't get into squarepusher. A few songs here and there.

I'm sure it is, I never really debated that and I really don't want to. When I think techno, bad house music comes to mind.
I don't really associate Aphex, like a tim, squarepusher, hrvatski or dat politics with the techno label.

i saw do make say think a couple months ago with broken social scene and the dmst set floored me. i've been wanting to see them for a few years and it was better than i could've ever imagined.

now to change genres completely. arkangel as loud as possible!

yeah, i think of idm as a subgenre of techno. not being way into electronic music, i don't want to try and use too many genre terms and come off sounding like a pompous know it all who actually knows nothing, so i just use the arch-genre term, techno.
