Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. whatever...if you dont like it dont read it...obviously some peeps are interested in music...
I don't read it, but get tired of seeing it on the board for the past week or so. It has nothing to do with cycling in any way. That is what music forums are about, not cycling forums. It should be locked like my thread was that had much more to do with cycling than this.
On the other hand, I could join in and keep the thread going for years. When it reaches page five on the recent topics, might as well bring it up again and again for more brilliant discussion. I can't wait until I get up in the morning to find out what others are listening to. Wow, do you really listen to that music? Oh wooh, he listens to that, wow he must be really crazy? Oh my, she likes that band? I am on the edge of me seat here. Don't keep me in any more suspense. Let me know everything you like in music. The theme from Rocky? Really? Wow!
Yeah, might as well join in. It is so cool.

I feel this is a great place for a launching pad to complain about why my thread was closed and this music thread continues? Mine had something to do with a term that is used all the time on this forum, yet this has nothing to do with anything cycling related, yet goes on and on. Here is the thread that was closed. Figuring this topic has no relevance to cycling at all, I figured what better place to vent since anyone posting on here wouldn't care about relevance anyway, so it will just blend in to the crap posted here.

I would like to interject something here; this is important. When you are cooking a hamburger, DO NOT press down on it while it is cooking. That is about the dumbest thing you can do unless you really like a dry burger with no juice in it. That is my tip here and felt I should make sure you folks know about it. I hope you folks that eat meat can put this tip to good use.

i think that what people are listening to is far more, maybe not related to cycling, but interesting and productive than you, or whoever else, complaining about hipsters this and hipsters that. especially since there is ONE thread here about music, whereas you're contributing to the 10 threads per month dealing with "hipsters"

What the hell does this have to do with fixed gear? At least my hipster post was a term used by many. This should be closed as well.
156 pages of total waste of bandwidth. Who cares what music anyone listens to?
not sure why you feel the need to whine.

So you're mad that your post got locked up, so you come to one that is relevant to everyone here (not just some dude trying to reassure himself) and try to stir up the pot and get it so far off topic that they shut it down...cuz your feelings got hurt. Grow up, old man.
To keep it going, seriously is anyone listening to "Two Gallants"? They are so amazing.
Oh and about the cheeseburger thing.

Okay I will join in and tell you what I listen to. And yes, I was mad that you guys ganged up on me and closed my thread. I have the damn flu and am bored to death. Anyway, I listen to my own music that I play being that I am a professional musician. I am a full time solo bagpiper and also play with two bands. The other music I listen to is so vast that it would take pages to list and I don't want to bore you, but I will say it goes from piping, to hip hop, to alternative, to bands like U2, Atreyu, Evans Blue, Hawthorne Heights back to a low D whistle and the Flute. I listen to Classical, Tenors, Folk and many local artists in Pittsburgh, like Barrett Black on the cello. Met the guy at a wedding we did together and he was really excellent with that very old instrument of his. I also play a 100+ year old stand of pipes as well as other bellows pipes that I would imagine people wouldn't have much interest in. Have a whistle on order from Scotland and can't wait until it gets here. I would imagine that I wouldn't be the norm in this click here, but that is what I am into. Enjoy.

Judas - Assorted mp3's New 7" coming out on 16oh soon. It's power-violence I guess, but with the sweet doomy, sludgy, metal solo-y way that Mind Eraser is power-violence. I like it a lot, and I usually hate just about everything from California. California? Maybe they're from Texas... doesn't matter.
Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss There's no description needed here. I mean, c'mon!
Unbroken - Life.Love.Regret. Straight-edge. Slow. Brings me down.
