I'm trying to get into some classical, so I am banging my head to some Fryderyk Chopin. Polonaise No. 6 in A flat major Opera 56 "Heroic". It's interesting, but I am having a hard time actually paying attention to what is being played.

Love, love, love this band. One of the few main(er) stream punk bands that matters today. Probably the only one. I'm driving out to Kentucky with some friends to catch this show on the 26th of May and then back to Philly that night to see RAMBO's last show the next day. Best weekend ever.

Yea i have that album. More into The struggle continues and modern day city symphony. The new embee album is growing on me. I live with freestyle from the arsonists brother, and he was amazed one day to hear his brothers voice coming from this random track. fever
if anyone knows where i can find some ticonderoga, let me know. my cd is scratched all to hell, i hadn't put it on my itunes yet, & my usual "source" comes up empty. thanks.

Damn good new record!
Seriously, 'Once In Your Life', the second last track on the new Idlewild is such an amazing song. Brilliant.

if i were a drinker, i think most of my time would be spent listening to lucero and other similar bands getting completely lost in a bottle of whiskey every night.

Let's hang out and I'll help you out!
haha
Born to Run by springsteen came on when i was at the bank, that ruled.
the lucero / tim barry show on a boat cruising down the hudson was pretty sweet, aside from the $6 beers and $4 bottles of water!
best lucero records are the self-titled and nobody's darlings

Damn that show would have been great. Rivanna Junction's a pretty killer record.
Lucero's new one (Rebels, Rogues and Sworn Brothers) is a bloody amazing record, definitely one of my favourites. I find it really difficult to pick a #1 though, 'cause I love all their stuff so much.
The Boss was getting a spin this morning.
'Kids flash guitars just like switchblades...'
hey sekt - what record label do you do?
Disconnect Records. We're just a small label, we release punk rock stuff from Tasmania. We also put on lots of shows and do promotion work (we do the Tassie shows for bands like NOFX, Against Me!, Strung Out, NUFAN, Bouncing Souls, etc). We do more shows than we release CDs (not a heap of bands down here unfortunately). We're very DIY, don't get paid for it, just keen to keep the punk rock scene happening on this little island.
It's good fun!
