Five inches or so. Areas closer to the lake had 8 inches. I invoked the five inch rule this morning. No commuting for me if we have fresh snowfall of 5 inches or more. It's not so much the snow, it's the incompetent/lunatic drivers I'm avoiding. I'll be riding again tommorrow after things are cleaned up a bit.

We've got 5-6 inches last night here in SW Ohio, but the 30-40 MPH winds whipped it up to several feet drifts. I don't commute (retired), so I'm inside for, at least, a couple of days.

Just 3-4" here in Cleveland. We've already had several heavier snows, so this one seems pretty minor.

they expect 6-10 here.. we got about 4 now... could be a white Christmas.. then again it could be 60 degrees next week and melt it all..

We got 4-6 inches in Normal, Illinois. I tried to take my bike out, but couldn't really get going. I rode home last night on the "rails to trails" trail that cuts through town, with out any problems, but another inch or two fell since and drifts have formed. I would take to the road, but my studded tires have not arrived yet.

Fooey, At the South Jersey Shore we did not get any snow. I actually bagged commuting today cause I would have had to pedal into 32 degree, 30 mph horizontal icy rain.

Looks like it's dying out up here in The Green Mountain State. Well, up north, at least... Looking outside, I'd say maybe 2 inches? Enough for a nice ride without having to plow through it.

as of 9:30pm on 10-08-05 in the metro detroit area only an inch or two had fallen. it wsa great riding then. i was the onoly one out at that time and with the christmas lights everything was nice and bright. the trails were even somewhat bright. this is my first night ride ever and to have it in the snow made it all the better.

today after my classes i'm going to try getting out again, but the 6+ inches that are on the grouind now might make it a little tougher. all i need now are studded tires and i'll be good to go.

Putney, eh? :) It has stopped up here in Burlington. Guess the brunt of the storm stayed south of us.

Webcam? (slow!)

Putney it is. I'm upstairs in my tiny little office.
Should of rode yesterday... I might go out on the xc skis tonight.

Waiting on some new tires for the cross bike...

It's slowed down a bit here. Looks like 5" on my car from 8 am this morning.

My son measured 13 1/2" in our front yard (southern Maine). My two wheeled adventures consisted on snow blowing the driveway...twice.
