Everyone should've bought 20 of these (http://cgi.ebay.com/NOS-Selle-San-Marco-Regal-White-Perforated-NEW_W0QQitemZ7201794237QQcategoryZ106952QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) from Nashbar when they were $9.

holy crap. that's a ridiculous price.

I run Selle / SM Rolls on my road bikes, and they're great. Bought a similarly perf'd white / gold one from nashbar for $7.95 last year.

haha! I grabbed two back when they had them. One was a gift to a friend, and he still has it. The other is ??? MIA...

I picked up a pair of shoes they had on sale (old lace-up kind, $14.99) and turned them around on eBay for a like sum the saddle is currently at. Craziness.

selle san marco makes lots of synthetic saddles (lorica). you must be thinking of selle italia.

was afraid of that...

I bought one of those saddles during the nashbar blowout and used it for two days. Two-day used saddle + Simple Green = NOS??

I think the key here is the $70 starting price. Aslo "Same style saddle as used by Tom Boonen in the Tour De France. Also was Greg LeMond's saddle of choice."

Seems like those two factors (not to mention the blingin' white n' gold) would really reel the high-dollar crowd in.

damn. i paid about 50$ for that exact saddle like 6 months ago on ebay. at the time i couldn't find any white perf. ones at any reasonable price. nice score.

Guys that is not expensive. The prices of them now new are going up (falling dollar) 90.00. That is what the used to sell for in the 80s then fell to about 45.00 til now. Nashbar was a blessing and I din't go for it.

The best saddle ever made.period.
