I know I could prob figure this out mathematically, but...I'd rather just ask you all...
I have 1 in. 'horizontal' dropouts for my fixie conversion...My hub right now sits pretty close to the front (open) end of the dropout
I'm running a gear (42x16) that's prob on the lower end of what I would like to flip flop to... I wanna get a lower toothed cog to put on the other side to get into a higher gear, and it would be ideal if I could use the flip/flop without having to break my chain and add a link or something
my question is can I get away with going down 2 teeth from a 16tooth to a 14tooth (or might I be stuck sticking to 1tooth down)? or rather....what have yall managed to get away with (or not managed to get away with) in your experiences ?
