I have a set of record hubs at 32 and 32, I have two sets of DT 1.1 rims, one 32/32 on 28/32. I plan to build one set as commuter wheels, and one set as cross wheels.

would you build the records at 32.32 and use em as the cross wheels, build em as 32.32 and commute on em? I'm moderately concerned about subjecting such nice hubs to the mud and foulness that makes up Jan cross season. Alternatives? What hubs are yall using (keep in mind I'm all Campy here...)

I use Campagnolo Veloce and Mirage with 32 spoke lacing for cross without any problems, 1 set of wheels have now done almost 3 seasons (Oct - Feb) without being repaired.

Would use the same for commuting, just change the tyres

I have King hubs, but I guess that does not help you.

I love those King hubs, but he has a thing against Campy I guess.
