Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Thought on this Bianchi I converted this week

So it doesn't have track ends, I know, I'm getting there soon enough. This is the second bike I converted. It says Campione Del Mondo and 1986-1987 Colorado Springs on the bike. Should this mean anything? Just thought I asked. Thanks

Is this a road frame? Maybe its just me but the frame looks a little chunky...its a nice conversion though I'm not a huge fan of flat bars..or platforms for that matter.

With the bars rotated so they curve in instead of up, and the saddle at a more junk-friendly angle that looks like it would be a fun ride.

i'm not a big fan of the bmx style grips on road bikes, i ride flat bars and just wrap the area where i put my hands in bar tape, i think it looks much cleaner.

yikes. i have just been under the knife and i have spontaneously broken into a cold sweat. but someone has got to let the boys know: you have to look after your boys! you spend any time with the saddle angled like that and there is likely going to be some heartache down the track.

and rvabiker: they are older style road drop outs which were more horizontal. and the brazeons for the down tube shifters. so yep - definitely a road frame. was very common for old school roadies for convert their road bike over summer to fix gear for pre-season training on the 71" down these parts - horizontal dropouts let you do it easy.

For a roadconvertedtofixie, it couldn't get much better, if you ask me!

I like it (and I also run flats or risers, and platforms on my bikes).
