My hat's off to Congressman Blumenauer. At least someone is raising a voice in Congress about a topic that is important to those who commute.

Thanks for posting Pete. How can any Congress person not support this?

I believe blumenauer is the representative who bikes to work (Congress) and doesn't own a car (or at least he doesn't maintain one in DC). Anyone confirm that?

Heard about this one a while back. Apparently there were already a few motoring primates doing a good old fashioned whinge about it. I think that will be this guy's biggest obstacle. In saying that, I wish him luck all the same.

I dont know about you guys, but i just sent off a quick note in his contact form (http://www.house.gov/blumenauer/contact.html) thanking him for this bill, and letting him know that there are thousands of cyclists in the USA that support him, and this bill.

Now i know why i wanted to move to Oregon. :D
