Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
George! How could you??? Check out these shoes on Mr. Hincapie (from Interbike):

Nah those are just fancy shmancy non gender-specific "Italian" shoes. It's probably the big thing over in Italy.:)

I'll bet they're comfortable, but. . .
See what happens when you spend too much time in Europe.
Maybe racing in North American ain't so bad after all.

How about it, George? Wanna be my boyfriend?
I think my wife has a pair of sandals just like those.

Personally, I think he needs to try some different Oakleys.
I am sorry to say, I think some of you folks are a bit to sheltered from the latest fashions. Ya gota quit sleeping in your riding mtb or riding togs... :D
I live in So CA. Although, I wouldn't wear the shoes in question, similiar types of shoes are seen as GQ and are very cosmo.

Glad I could offer up a good laugh for you... now, I can breath a cy of relief... :p People just don't realize when they say next to nothing on their profile, new posters are left wondering in cases such as this... ;)
In an article in Cycle Sport, Hincapie said he loves to go shoe-shopping in spain. Is that the best he could find? ewww.
Sorry, no heterosexual man would wear those shoes. Okay, maybe in Europe.
He is almost certainly gay and he's almost certainly not the only gay cyclist. Not that there's anything wrong with it! But he's still a major hunk. He just needs to find better shoe stores!

Just a quick correction - I think the above is spelled "Je ne sais quoi" or pretty close to this. Not being critical, just thought you'd like to know.

Hot sandals, George!
Those feet are worth a million bucks!

Okay, I'm pretty open minded about men's footwear but those look like woman's sandals. I have some sandals/shoes that are very comfortable and I guess around here would be considered European and most N.E. men would not wear them but I would definitely not wear those large woman's sandals. Hey, to each his own. If he likes them, that's all that counts.
Those Oakley's (Racing Jackets) are coolio! I was very very close to getting some, but 165 bucks is a little steep. Plus there are only two colors to select from, how boring. I'm going to get some Rudy's or Spy's.
Don't judge a man by his feet.....:crash:

Thanks Stor Mand. I quit taking french after grade 8 when it was no longer mandatory, so I was winging it! I knew it just didn't look right, but what the hay.....you still figured it out! :D

I remember my sister telling me (about 35 years ago) that "Je ne sais quoi" (or however you spell it) meant something like, "I don't know what."
So, George's sandals might have that certain, "I don't know what."
:D
(You Canadians ought to be able to correct me on this...)
Yup, though I'm just learning French, it means "I don't know what". Though wouldn't it be more corrent if written "Je ne sais pas quoi"?

Je ne sais pas: I don't know.
Je ne sais quoi: I don't know what [As in... there's something about Mary... a je ne sais quoi].
