Seems like a very nice listing. The pictures seem to indicate that the bike was not abused, I really like the color. Someone who bought this would probably not go wrong. and if he is guaranteeing the $60 dollar shipping cost, that's a real bargin. My Dale is shipping from the West Coast to NC and Co-Motion is charging the dealer $125 to ship, and they are a Co-Motion dealer also.

From the sizes quoted is looks like the frame is an X/M.

that is a 16 year old bike. Starting bid of 950 is high, IMO.

Actually it's a '98 with Dura Ace components. Looks like a good deal to me.

Can you identify it as a 1998 model? In the Q&A at the bottom, a shopper and the seller are trying to confirm the year.

Me, I wouldn't know how to identify it, but I'm wondering if you can actually i.d. it as a 1998.

Rock on with the purple anodized chi-chis--brings back fond memories of my GT Zaskar that was pimped out with all of Ringle's finest componentry.

Definitely a symbol of an era...

The description box lists the year as a 1990 and the buyer himself says it is a 1990 model -

"Although I was told that this was a 1998 Cannondale when I bought it in 2003 an asute eBayer knew that it was, in fact, a 1990 model. That being said, this frame looks great for being 16 years old, as it should because I've not ridden it much! Your gain."

Like I said, seems like a lot for something that old. . .

If it was a '98 instead of a '90, you could get pretty close...

Way back when, Cannondale's serial numbers started off with the year of manufacture: you'll note the one on Ebay is: Serial #GC1990012602321

FWIW: our 1994 MT3000 had a 1.25" headset. If I recall correctly, all early C'dale tandems had this size headset. Or was there a difference between the MT and RT models?

Ooops... I knew I missed one. I've updated my cheat sheet as C'dale used the 1.25" headsets in '93 - '95.
