Hello all,

I'm new to MTB and needed a place to come and chat and ask questions. I used to run 3-5 miles a day. At 30yoa and 6'6" tall 250lbs, guess what my knees started to make strange noises. So I needed a replacement. I bought a used Giant Warp from a friend that never rode it, heck the "hairs" were still on the tires. I love this sport. I'm still learning, the hard way sometimes. It's a blast though. I've put some very hard miles on this bike in a very short time. I ride almost exclusively on single track. The skill I seem to have picked up on the fastest is crashing, especially the fast and hard type. Man I love this sport.

Anywho, glad to be here, I hope to not anoy the regulars too much with the novice questions.

 cheers to all!

Welcome.

Your knees will love you for taking up biking. It's helped me heal from a torn PCL, and I can run again to play softball.

Thanks cycling!
