hi guys, ive been in the market for a track bike. I came across this
http://boston.craigslist.org/bik/116689207.html
I emailed him wondering why it was so expensive, being a 2002 model, AND used. He said it has an upgraded Mavic wheelset. Is that what it looks like?
Anyway, I bargained the price down to 535.00(including shipping).
Do the wheels look upgraded? I found the picture of this bike on the bianchi site, and the wheels look exactly the same. I dunno.
Tommorow I'm sending the money via paypal, so I just would like it if you guys could look over it for my safety. He seems like a good guy, great communication skills, and im excited about the bike... Just last minute butterflies.
If it helps at all, the wheel set is the "Mavic CXP21 custom wheel set"

you're getting ripped off.
unless he's got phils on there you're paying more than MSRP for a 4-year old bike.
i agree with baxtefer, thats way too much

Those wheels were stock if I'm not mistaken.
That's what I had on my '02.
Ah, my '02, great bike!
I put on some Dura-Ace cranks & sold the baby for like $400.
What was I thinking?!
I should of held out until the great track bubble of '05-'06-'07....

Cash talks.
It's xmas time, people need money.
Talk him down if you really want it.

Do you have a local LBS which sells Bianchi? His "improved" price is close to current retail for new bikes(not including any sales).
Agreed, that's way too much. Plus it's fugly, and I kind of like the 02's.
Celeste tires on a black and red frame? ARRGH!!!

I believe the 2002 came with Mavic cxp 22 as stock.
New Pistas goes for $499 in Baltimore.
Just say NO.

dont buy it. i wouldnt trust anyone who would ride with bars adjusted like that.
You should ask him if those bars are an upgrade?
