Since some of you may not look over in the road forum, and may also not be interested in a cryptic thread about a helmet cam, here's a link to some videos taken at ADT Event Center over the past couple weeks with our cool new helmet cams. They're a pretty low frame rate (15 fps) so it's a little choppy, but still cool. There are also some videos from a regular stationary video camera at the rail.

I'll be there thursday for a meeting, and if it's short enough will be riding.

I got a lot of good video last night. I put it on my top tube under the seat for the warmup-- it's more stable there, but mostly what you see is people's butts. For the intervals I had it on my head and got about 15 minutes before the batteries died, then I got the whole motor game, but the camera was a little too forward, so that when I was getting low it tended to look more down than forward. Watching the paceline exchanges from the camera is cool though.

Wow, that's so cool. I've never ridden in a velodrome, and this gives me an idea of how steep the bank on the track is. I heard it was steep, but had no idea how steep.

I have some video from Forest City Velodrome that I took the week before christmas. It's even steeper than ADT. I'll try to get it posted to Google in the next week or so.

Not all tracks are that steep-- Encino is about 30 degrees in the corners, and I think San Diego is even less. They're both concrete it's possible to to a trackstand in the corners on them. On the steeper tracks you slip off.

Where in California are you? There are three tracks in SoCal if you want to try it, and they all have good intro programs. There's also one in San Jose, but I've never been there.
