Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Just found the bike forum today and started to look around and was hooked. Some of the names are familiar from the icebike, carfree and bicycle advocacy groups.

I have the great joy of living in one of the most scenic, challenging, and low vehicular traffic areas in Ohio. I ride almost everyday. Am strongly considering commuting as an option. I am 52 and have ridden most of my life. Got really hooked on biking while living in Boulder/Longmont, CO area in the mid 70's.

I own a road, tour, mtb, and recumbent. Like to ride all of them for different reasons. Recumbent is my favorite cold weather, good road conditions bike. MTB is great for the back roads, not much single track in this area.

I am married, with one son who is a senior in high school and his goal in life is be a Navy SEAL. I am a pacifist by nature. Go figure that one. I live a simple life style. Have thought about a new sect called the bicyclatarians. Sort of like the Amish but instead of horse and buggy we would be a simple living/bikers:D

Like to garden, carpentry work, watch movies at home, and watch nature.

Thank you RonH for the message to encourage me to do this. For me riding the recumbent is a spectator sport.
