Hi folks,
So, the Vans & cotton socks just aren't doing it anymore. Anyone have good suggestions for a warm, waterproof pair of shoes without a lot of tread? I use MKS GR-9 clips. Most of the shoes/boots/mocs out there have a lot of tread, and would get caught in the pedals.
thanks, and stay warm

I was thinking of looking at cross country ski boots [ flat soles, insulated and smaller toe box than hiking
boots or winter boots] that may fit into the cages and not snag on mtb. pedals. Just a thought.
Why not wear overshoes over your work shoes?

those overshoes seem interesting... have you used them??
Nope. They're on my Christmas wishlist, though....

Good idea, however, there's a small hitch. Most xc ski boots will have too much support at the ankle, too much to allow appropriate foot and ankle movement for a pedal stroke. Unless, of course, you can find some boots that don't go past the ankle.
