Hey Palooka, welcome to the forums.

Where you from and what kinda bike do you have?

Do you race? Do you just ride for fun?....etc.

Details, details, details.....

My current bike is a 2003 Giant XTC frame w/ a Sid SL, Crossmax, and XT all around. Nothing special...I bought most of it on closeout or on Ebay. lol. I'm a cheapskate.

This season I tried to find a frame I can race. Didn't quite work out so easy. So far I've gone through:

Dean Scout (Too small, but I loved the ride quality. Dean had a 3 month wait for frames, but had a medium sized frame kicking around that they convinced me would fit...not the case.)

A Kona Explosif (I love love love this bike. But with east coast riding I've found that disks are nice to have. I just went over the bars on a steep descend because my brakes were wet and I had zero stopping power...bruised my hip, cut my elbow down to the bone, and sprained my ankle because I never got it un-clipped. I wish it HAD DISK TABS! :) )

Before these I've had a couple of cheap aluminum hardtails that I've broke, outgrown, or just upgraded as money allowed.

I live in Maine, and do XC/trail riding and road riding on weekdays. I actually don't race yet but have started training and will train through the winter for next season :) I've finally been talked into it by some friends...we'll see how it goes :)
