I knew I had 2 6-packs of Bridgeport ESB in the fridge for a good reason. Maybe I'll get drunk and ride over and buy a cd. Hmmmmm...

I understand. I know why she's trying to keep a distance and it's okay. I don't force anything. Even so, I'd still rather be the f**ked than the f**ker. If that makes any sense.

Drunken? yes. Bonehead? yes. Cheat? Jesus, you guys are making me paranoid.Nah, just primal human nature at work. Chics aren't with a guy because he scored top-place on a checklist: 10-pts for having all his teeth, 15-pts for being attentive, 20-pts for emotional support, 25-pts for BMW, 30-pts for good-job with advancement potential. Nah, it's that "attraction" they feel, that "spark" in the beginning. If it's not there, forget all the other stuff even if you have everything they "want". Check these out:

The Lois Rogers, Medical Correspondent - Women who cheat on their husbands (http://www.ukmm.org.uk/issues/cheat.htm) (alternate link (http://www.sexuality.blog-city.com/women_cheat_children_suffer.htm))

This last one is scary. Patternity labs are reporting that from 1-in-10 to 1-in-7 kids were not sired by their fathers. While patternity tests are often used to enforce child-support payments in the event that the guy is indeed the biological father, in most cases where he's not, that evidence isn't considered as strongly and in the majority of cases, child-support is still required "in the interest of the child". So watch your back!

Studies have also shown that women will cheat with their lover overwhelmingly when they're ovulating and not with their main partner... :( I guess it pays to be the "other guy"...

I think I've read most of those articles from your previous posts. Intersting reads. Enough to make me want to go back to my simpler, more secure, and much easier to understand days of solitude.

And 'round these parts, it's already esablished that the courts are in favor of child support payments even when a paternity test confirms that the child is not of the "father's" biological lineage. So, yes, I am very careful when it comes to wrapping up.

Actually I like to play a game with them. Whenever I see them taking a peek, I'll make sure that I don't let on that I caught them. Then I bring on a raging hard-on while continuing to talk about whatever with them and maintaining eye-contact. Inevitably, they just can't resist staring... heh, heh...

Although they actually stare at butts more often. Just hard to catch them in the act because you're not looking...

is that what you men think of women in general? what you expect them to be? (don't jump, i'm not offended or anything, just curious)

Yes. I wouldn't think that if every woman I have ever met had not tried to manipulate me in some way. Prove me wrong, and I'll see how I feel.

Everybody needs a break every once in a while. It doesn't mean she's cheating...just that she needs a little time to herself. Or just to hang out with her girlfriends.

I rather enjoy my alone time...though few and far between!

Why don't you read Danno's posts on Snowy's advice to... (http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=160043) thread? You might be confusing the different ways men and women flirt and the different signals they give with "manipulation". I'm not going to deny that some women are manipulative, backstabbing b!tches but not all of us are like that. I hope in time, you'll figure it out for yourself.

Yes. I wouldn't think that if every woman I have ever met had not tried to manipulate me in some way. Prove me wrong, and I'll see how I feel. It's a matter of perspective as well. You can see it as the glass half-empty or half-full. You can see it as manipulation or you can make it an opportunity for some light-hearted fun. Women have a lot more at stake and a lot more to lose in a relationships, especially in the old days. So they have developed some very deeply-rooted instinctual, subconsious and intuitive algorithms for finding a suitable mate. A couple hundred years of civilization and "society" can't overcome a hundred-thousand years of primal survival. We all want to find the "best" mate possible to pass on our genes. Don't take it personally, have fun with it. When they throw up a test, laugh at them, say, "Come on... is that the best you can throw at me? You can do better than that!"... heh, heh...

Well, I'm not sure. My question was "is that what you men think of women in general? what you expect them to be?" and trekkie's answer was "Yes". If all the women he's met are "manipulating him" then it might as well be all women

explody pup
12-15-05, 05:03 PM
Everybody is manipulative, regardless of gender. The only difference is whether or not it's intentional.

MERTON
12-15-05, 05:05 PM
another problem is that like 50% of you or more have cheated before... i realize guys do it to... but that's not my concern as i don't like guys...

and i also think ya'll manipulate people more than you think. it's just become so natural to you that you don't notice it.

people in general are just too full of crap to be messing with... you shoulda seen that guy at "the bike shop"...

it's like some people can't do anything but lie.

peregrine
12-15-05, 05:17 PM
you can b!tch as much as you want MERTON and I'm not about to start a gender BS war with you :p, but just tell me this, are you drawing your conclusions on the manipulative ways of the fair sex from the college girls you've met in Texas?

MERTON
12-15-05, 05:23 PM
i'm drawing it from all the observations i've made of others relationships and of the way people talk about the opposite sex.

12-15-05, 05:30 PM
ok then, the best advice I can offer is...
guys, if women are out there to get you, grow a spine and don't allow them to manipulate you (if it actually bothers you in the first place)! just show'em who's the boss! You're your own person. You don't have to take crap from anybody, you don't deserve to be treated this way! :p lol

I have to disagree with that, bikewench. People are different, men are different, and women are different. Some women manipulate, some don't. I've know about equal number of both. Same thing with men, although in a different context.
Stereotyping is one of the most obnoxious things about american society that I still can't swallow, and probably never will. It's alsmost as bad as intolerance and descrimination.
