I rode to work this morning (16 degrees) - not quite trail riding but it's got its own share of white-knuckle moments ;-)

biked yesterday morning, mainly road and some trails. it was -6º F, not the most pleasent but I like the extremes. Winter biking is fun, as long as you have the right gear and attitude. I am born and raised in a tropical country. I moved to USA when I was 28, but I have a special liking to the winter of Northeastern USA. I feel like it test the strength of your character and eventually makes you tougher/stronger.

He's got lots of snow in chicago. We just got 15 cm's here and I really wanna get studded tires now.

yeah, studded tires are great for icy conditions. I dont feel that much of a difference on the snow though.
