bike shredder

Just a short note to day that I installed the ESGE kickstand on my new 05 C'dale tandem. With a little filing, I was able to do the fit without any problems. The kickstand is large and not as heavy as I expected, and this is one product that far exceeded my expectations. The back wheel is about five inches off the ground and the whole bike is really steady. Took the bike out for the initial ride last evening and had a ball. After a while I had to slow down because I was riding my poor wife into the ground. I am an ex-runner and have to baby my knees and; therefore, have gotten used to really spining. She punched me in the kidneys a few times and I slowed down. We need to next solve the problem of getting the bird on the bike. We have a african gray parrot and we bought a special half bike with a large basket to go riding as a family. She barks at the dogs and meow's at the cats and whisles at the girls; I need to put a rack on the back but am having problems with the disc brake on the left side. Its always something!!

You'll find that nearly everything is "special" when it comes to a tandem. We went with a Topea QR seatpost rack and one of their slide-on trunk bags. It's great, but limited to 15 or 20 lbs. I can't remember for sure, but we don't need any more capacity than that. Your bird doesn't weigh more than 15lbs, does it? We sure like our '05 C'Dale and I expect you'll really enjoy yours, too.

We once "babysat" a neighbors' African gray, and it was a hoot. It's telephone ring just about drove me crazy, though! I expect, after you get it on the tandem it will learn some new phrases like: "Are you peddling?" "Slow down." "Thanks for the warning." and more... OHB
