Oh my, my look how high the bidding went on hubs that claim to be Campy GranSport. Does anybody see anything wrong with this picture?

How can people buy/bid a fortune on things without knowing anything about it? I think I'll start buying old Campy 980 parts and make a fortune selling them on eBay as GranSport. I'll bet old campy derrailleurs can be colored with a black Sharpie marker and sold as Super Record eh? Gotta love eBay!

well. pre-67 record hubs only say Campagnolo...after 67 they say Record as well. The Recordless hubs bring a lot of money...oneinchpitch and campy_record both know what they're doing...yeah. that much money is insane but they are rare pieces...I did see a pair of GranSport Brakes, NOS in the wrapper, go for $187 today. That is truly insane. You may as well go brakeless for as much good as that vintage GranSport brakes do (I got a pair on my fixie, I know from which I speak!).

I dunno.. I've seen "Record-less" Record high-flange hubs go for around $70/pair on eBay before. Maybe those guys didn't see that auction? I've also seen Nuovo Tipo's go for $140/pair....I think people are just smoking way too much greenbud.
