Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

or
2)For once I have stumped this group and nobody knows the answer!:)

What pros are you talking about?
I can't think of any D1, 2 or 3 teams that ride steel.
XC- RLX rides the Ti pisgah, can't think of any steel.
CX-can't think of any but some teams/pros may ride steel.

CSC-Tiscali just names Cervelo as their bike sponsor for 2003. Cervelo will supply the team with aluminum soloist bikes and the steel Prodigy model. Looks like some pros will be back on steel. Here's (http://vn1.velonews.com/tech/report/articles/3136.0.html) an article from Velonews.
As for cyclocross... you can be pretty sure the Richard Sachs team rides steel...

The Linda McCartney Team rode Reynolds 853 a couple of years ago (1997) when I saw them ride in London.

I guess I should have been more specific with my question as to which pros I was talking about. I was thinking of the pro road teams like in the TdF etc...
Thanks for the answers so far.

I think all of the Lemond bikes (except some Ti models) are steel, so I imagine some of their riders are using them.
