I have 99` XTR hubs on my touringbike and my rear hub makes the wrong noise, kind off; grrrrrrr :(
I inspected the hub and the balls and cones are worn
Is it possible to buy new cups and cones for this kind of hub?
Thanks

You can get new cones, but not cups AFAIK. The XTR's always struck me as being a bit delicate or touchy in the bearings (*hides from avalanche of satisfied XTR users*). The titanium rear axles compress a lot when the QR's are clamped down, causing the bearings to run tight unless they're particularly adjusted looser to compensate.
Actually... 1999... maybe yours don't have the Ti axles in the rear. I can't remember exactly when they switched to Ti axles, although I think all the Parallax-shaped XTRs have Ti rear axles.. Can you check them with a magnet to see if they're steel?

Shimano seem to change their cone dimensions every year, so sometimes the seals dont fit.
The drive side cup comes with the replaceable freehub.
