I was wondering if anyone knows if you can mask an area of a bike for powder coating? I have a Schwinn Cruiser that I would like to powder coat but would like to retain having two colors on the tank

From what I've read it is very hard to paint over powder coats so I was wondering if there is a way to mask out the white area on the tank so that it can be liquid painted after the bike has been powder coated?

Thanks!

yes. there's a high temp tape that can be used when powdercoating.

Thanks Potus. It seems that would be my best method to getting a two color tank.

here's the tape:

I'd talk to the powdercoaters before you do anything. I'm not sure if you mask the area before or after media blasting.
