I have heard 99.9% negative feedback about them.
Although I have not dealt with them, that's enough to keep me from doing so.

do iro make aluminium frames?

yes iro have aluminum frames. jamie roy and highlander
even if nycbikes didn't have 99% neg feedback.
as far as i know, iro has 100% positive feedback (including the times i've dealt with tony)

they want to sell you one bike.... they don't want to be your 'bike shop'

so, assuming i get an off the shelf bike, would you recommend the pista over the jamie roy?
12-19-05, 07:17 PM
i would choose the jamie roy over the pista because the iro wheels and headset are much better than what is on the stock pista. for a bike i'm going to be riding around town i would choose sealed bearings over loose ball every time.
if you want a brake, i think you can get one set up cheaper than $60. talk to your LBS and see if they have any used levers/calipers.

thanks! i just got a big windfall, so ima get the iro

If you just got a big windfall, look into the Deluxe wheels for the IRO, or a custom frame...

ask tony if you can get the rear wheel fixed/fixed instead of fixed/free. since you'll never want to coast again, you'll be happier later.
