So this morning I turn on the weather channel as im scarfing down a bowl of oatmeal and cranraisons and it shows not one, not 2, but 3 weather warnings for the day !

- Freezing Rain Warning
- Heavy Rain Warning
- High Wind Warning

30 min later i got on all my layers for my 25k ride in to Richmond from Coquitlam.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, such a fun commute day.

Remember, Lance may have won the TDF 7 times in a row, but he drove to work :D

I bet he flew to France ;o).

If Lance wants bicycling to take off, he'd start some commuting advocacy, especially for kids commuting to school.

I check the weather forcast at the Environment Canada web site. No warnings on there at all for today. Even when they do post warnings, I find that they're usually pretty melodramatic. It was a pretty easy run this morning, just a little rain.

Sorry dude no warnings for the GVRD

the raid was good but hardly as bad as some Vancouver days. I rode from NV to UBC with no problems. no wind, 10 degrees and light rain...

Did you by chance have the wrong station on?

We only have one weather channel far as I know
At 6 am thats what they were saying on it and city tv.

And like you, when i actually got in it, there was no wind, rain was not heavy, and it wasnt freezing.

Blame crappy weatherman for trying to make it sound worse.

In the two weeks I've been in Santa Fe, NM it seems like there is almost no point to checking the weather. Every day sunny and in the high 30's-low 40s. Maybe a sprinkle of snow on the ground in the morning. Good livin.

i dunno. maybe they had a communal brain-bubble and thought they were in washington? maybe an infinite improbability bubble schlooped down on the weather system and carried it out to some planet on the other side of the universe?

actually, it sounds like a bug in the software to me. that'll learn 'em to fire all their qa people.
