Do any of you have experience with this coastal Oregon advocacy bike tour? It's been going on for at least a few years now and its purpose is moderate touring coupled with activism. I've already registered for the shortest one, which will go only ~210 miles in seven days, but stop at several farms along the way with an emphasis on working and learning.
Right now I'm a little concerned about funding for my trip, as I'm working on getting people to donate to my trip's cost, but I don't know how self-centered people may perceive the trip to be. Usually on bike tours that are asking for donations, the money goes to a charity and not to an individual's summer adventure, correct? I'd like to know how any of you guys/girls had your trips funded regardless of whether it was this exact tour.
If anyone has been on this or any of the other tours, anecdotes or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
