What/where is the best location?

Some say it is OK in the furnace room (temperatures go over 70F). But I read that rubber should not be in a room with electric motors. Some say in the garage (where the temperature gets near 32F and where some water does pool under the car from melted snow).

Hanging by one or two wheels from the ceiling seems to be the suggested way to get it out of the way.

Thanks.

In the winter I like to store my bike underneath my butt. :D Bring on the snow!!!

But, seriously, I would think a basement would be the ideal place. But, I have no basement nor garage, so mine stay in the living area of the house. As long as it stays at a consistant temperature, there should be no worry of condensation or rust.

In my appartment there are tons of places to store a bike, you just have to think a bit. Assuming that you did a real good clean first, here are some ideas off the top of my head:

- The back of a closet if it is deep enough.
- Behind a couch.
- Take off the pedals, and handlebars and put it derailler side up underheath a bed.
- Comepletely take it to peieces and store it whereever you can find enough room.

Right now, I have just enough wallspace next to my shevles to get it in, the closet doro has bit of trouble opening, but if I took the wheel off, everything would be find. Having the bike where you can see it will be that much more motivation too!
