I'm working on a old Peugeot and an old Gitane. Come to find out that some of the pulleys on the Simplex R/D's are either broken or chipped. Can I replace them with other pulleys other than Simplex? I've got plenty of Suntour and Shimano pulleys laying around or if someone has some that they'd like to get rid of, let me know.
I found the same thing on the Simplex Criterium rear der. on my PX10. I robbed some from an old Suntour Vgt. They fit right in and worked great.

From what I've heard Suntours work, not sure about Shimano but I dont think they do.

Pretty much any of the old friction shift era pulleys should work.

Thanks Guys! Just went down to my LBS and pulled 2 old suntour derailleurs with pulleys out of his trash bin. $5 for both.
