I'll be in zanzibar! we should go cruising in my yacht!

But seriously, I would just forget about bikes for 6 days.

I'll chime in again since part of Borneo is Malaysian.

Not much to be seen truth be told. A different vibe from Singapore (super moderne) but it'll be a lot of fun.

Enjoy the sun! ;)

zanzibar is awesome.
I'd like to go back again in post-mango-season when the raods are covered in gooey squashed mango pulp.

Watch out for the headhunters.

if i could, i'd go find them and hang out with them. but that's the anthropologist in me speaking, and it's most assuredly totally impractical. if they still exist, that is.

track scene is non existence in Borneo, you have to be very careful on the road as the traffic is not used bikes. There is a indoor track in KL that was used for the Commonwealth Games. Bike parts are cheap in KL. There are a few rides around KL some are very fast as there are a few locals that ride in the Tour of Langkawi with the pro teams.

Going up to sabah and diving sipadan, mabul and kapalai
would be a good thing. As previously posted
I'd leave the bike for 6 days.

sounds pretty incredible to me. life is in the details and, as FNB said, the indigenous culture.

but what would I know? i've never lived outside of alamaba, ohio, or chicago.
