OK, so y'all helped with the cassette - Thanks! Now I've got a goofy set of Campy 8-speed hubs to ID. WHY, oh WHY must Campy be so stingy about putting model names/numbers on their stuff? (It was a rhetorical question...)
The hubs I have are 8-speed models with a black freehub using eight identical-width splines. The freehub has a sealed-bearing dust cap on the out side. The hub bodies have the "curving bell" design of the 2005 Veloce hubs, not the "round bell" design of the Centaur. The centers of both hubs have a groove for a chromed-spring-steel dust cap. The dust cap has parallel sides all the way around. On the rear dust cap is "BREV INT CAMPAGNOLO." On the front dust cap is nothing, but there are raised "shoulders" on both sides of the front dust cap. On the shoulders is "ITALY CAMPAGNOLO," and "INTERNAZIONALI BREVETTI."
Both hubs are 32 hole, and they are "medium-low" flange.
Any idea what year/model these hubs are or how to find out?
Finally, I've got a Campy rear derailleur that I'm pretty sure is an Athena. Any idea how to tell if it is an eight or nine speed?
