I really LIKE this trike. What else is out there to cross shop it with?

Keep in mind the Sun is extremely heavy, too heavy IMO.
A better choice might be...

Although a bit more costly, its almost half the weight.
If you put the bikes side by side there is no comparison, you get what you pay for.

The EZ Tadpole is a decent trike for the money but it is heavy. Wizwheelz is supposed to be bringing out a Terra Trike that will be in the same price range but about 10 pounds lighter. S&B Recumbents has a trike called Venice Beach that starts below $1000.

That trike (Sun USX-3) is no good if you like to ride. I put 4000 miles on that bike in 4 months, I broke the frame two times. I do love that bike, but if you are going to ride hard it's not the bike for you. It's more of a weekend bike. Good luck!

Note: It is a fast bike if you have the legs for it. The bike is 65lbs, +rider and gear, so don't do hill inless you have great legs, marching band helps, also riding a pos mtn bike helps get your legs ready.
