Bought junior his first bike. Got a Mongoose and built it a few weeks ago. Glad I did, I can't imagine doing it tonight, the build in the box condition is marginal at best, especially compared to someone like Airborne, who had it tuned in the box. I asked for the bike in the box and unbuilt specifically. I wanted to do it myself so I could make sure it was built right, lubed and adjusted properly. I just got back from the LBS to get brake caps, the cables on the bike were so long and were in the way. Now he can slap on his new helmet and run into everything up and down the block as he learns.

Hopefully he'll be on his way to the Trek KDR1000 he wants soon.

Mine will do his first road race in Jan 8th.

Man I wish I could afford that for my daughter,She claims that she would like one but I want a new roadie my self.If I got her that I would never be able to keep up with her.that is one sweet bike.
