Doing some last minute festivus shopping earlier today, decided to finally go into Hida Tool co. in Berkeley, CA. http://www.hidatool.com/
Suddenly I'm in heaven. I figure this is probably what a lot of the small Japanese framebuilders' shops are like. Small, quiet, everything super-high quality. They are super friendly, and stock an amazing array of handmade japanese tools and knives. Seriously worth checking out for all'y'all NJS-freaks and other fans of traditional Japanese style and craftsmanship, or anyone into handmade beauty.
