Living Car Free - ah, 2 wheel colleagues

i just found this site tonight...man, am i glad...have been riding my bike for everything for 4 months now...it's is hard to decribe the freedom you have by riding a bike...if i see a nice curb to catch some air, i do, or a nice patch of grass to do some wheelies and stoppies, i do, or nice trackstands at stoplights, i do

people in cars think they have freedom or movement, but as we know they really don't...i can ride a wheelie past some cops talking about the days excitement and nothing happens to me...

and you get some great looks from people too...got a haircut recently and gave over my tip and the guy gave me this look like i really should take the extra money and get something hot to eat...

do you agree, i don't think there is anyway to understand people when they are behind the wheel of a car...i simply ride more defensively now that i'm on a bike...maybe if everyone took just one bicycle ride through thier town, maybe things would change

here's to getting off of the gas guzzling, energy blowing, 'american' bandwagon

Yeah, I'd cool it doing wheelies by cops. Not the wisest way to ensure your freedom.

The cops around here seem to think that bikes are toys, so they don't much care what you do when you're riding. That's fine by me.

My sepson and our best friend got pulled over by cops while riding. The cops said they were looking for suspects who had stolen a couple TVs from an appliance store. They invited the cops to search their bikes to see that they weren't carrying any stolen TVs. The cops took our friend in "on suspicion". He had to leave his bike on the side of the road. By the time we went back to get it, it had been stolen.

uh - i would have a lawyer doing paperwork on this the next day.

folks who get a DUI get their car towed to the impound lot or where, that's just uncalled for.

Yeah, seen that video, and as much as it's cool to watch, doesn't strike me as the norm for more people going car free.

Plus twochins doesn't strike me as a messanger, more of a downhill guy/gal?!? I may be an old fart, considering I'm giving up FG for soemthing less knee busting (slowly but surely). The Glucosamine tablets are not enough :(.
