Fifty Plus (50+) - want to say thank you (best of my years)

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi all,
I just want to say thank you to all 50 plussers, I came to that this year and I enjoy it so much.
This is one of these things that made my year one of the best I've ever had.
In 2004 my wife got a bad disease and I'm very happy, she'll "back on the road" in 2006 (that's why I toured alone this year to Barcelona, just to meet her there, some of you may have seen my homepage showing the tour).
Next year we will be together again in the french Alps doing all the "Tour de France"-climbs as we loved it so many years before. And we will finish our tour in Corsica for another 10 days paradise in a small flat on the mediterranian beach.
Personally I am in the shape of my life ( :p ) and I love riding 120 miles and more without difficulties (hey youngsters, you hear that?).
Concerning to 50+: I love reading those (often self-ironic) grey hair comments and life experienced threads.

p.s.: excuse my bad english

Glad to hear your wife is better and you're both doing things you enjoy so much together.
If you want to hear someone "slaughter" the English language, just hang around us "Mericans".

When I read the sentence about your wife, I was depressed reading the sad news. By the time I finished the sentence, I had a smile on my face. So very happy to hear that things are looking up for the two of you. Man, I think I'm going to go give my wife a big hug right now and tell her how much I truly care and love her. Have a very Merry Christmas, Marmotte.

Thank you all for your replies and thanks for your good wishes, too.
Next plan (additionally to cycling) is to extend my hp, maybe Corsica, maybe Pyreenes or to revise my hp concerning our french western Alps tours (in Germany you risk a legal problem if you copy maps instead of drawing them or if the disclaimer is not sufficient enough).
But this means a bit time stress...
