View Full Version : no privileges to sell anything.
I was wondering why bikeforums won't let me place an ad to sell something. Is there some extra step to logging in as a unique user that I'm not following? Please advise,
Thanks in advance.
Bill (masi61).

The extra step is to simply donate to bikeforums. Only donating members are allowed to sell on the forums :)

Thanks for the prompt reply. How much are you supposed to donate?

You'll notice a lot of the other members have red stars too. Its a great way to spend 25 bucks really...
If you think about the information you've obtained from this website, a book would have cost over 25. And if you think of the entertainment you've gotten, movies to cover the same hours would cost well over 25...

I am trying to donate $25 but I cannot find a link anywhere that will take me to a credit card or pay-pal page, the link at the top of this topic just explains the benefits of being a paid member.
Can an administrator send me an invoice or link to make a donation?
Something is up with the paypal account- send it via snail mail. I created a sticky of a locked thread in this forum- it gives Joe's P.O. Box. When you send the donation, let him know what your username is so he can upgrade your account.

Hi Koffee,
I donated the $25 two days ago, but still can't post an Ad. Does this take a while?
Did you pay through paypal? And did you put your username there so we could identify who you were?

The paypal page is not working. Paypal itself is as stated in my sticky. However Joe has been exceptionally busy lately. I have upgraded your account and forwarded your name to Joe.
Thanks for the donation
