Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Taking the Plunge!!

I put an ad out on Craig's List today looking for an older ten-speed frame to build up into a fixie. I've been looking around pawn shops but they don't even take ten-speeds in anymore - it's all mountain bikes these days. so I'm off to Craig's List with fingers crossed. I will likely have to have at least a rear wheel built up since all I have wheels of various sizes that are dished for gear clusters of various widths. I welcome suggetions and tips from the pros on components. The idea is cheap, but nice. If there's interest, I'll post pictures of the project.

Now, hopefully someone will sell me a decent frame...

Well, since you ask, I've been fit for about a year since I started biking to work, but I still have a few pounds to lose :D .

I've never been professionally fitted for a frame, but I've been riding for a long time and I think I pretty much know what works for me. I am short - I can't do with much over a 50cm frame, and for my cyclocross and road bike, I would actually like a little smaller frame, but they are soooo flippin' hard to find. I am hoping for a 50cm or equivalent. Shorter if I can find it. That frame-fit deal is going to make this whole thing more difficult, I fear.
