ok, y'all need to come.
this ain't our race, but it's a fun race. we'll fill in the weekend.
we will take good care of you. pirates will arrange housing as necessary, along with before-events, sparks-a-plenty, after-events, and lovely DC photo opportunities.
our breaking-arms record is now 1 of 2.

http://www.latenightfrostbite.com/

ALL EVENTS ARE RAIN OR SHINE. if you're going to be a *****, stay the **** out of our city. we're pirates and we roll like that.

FRIDAY NIGHT:
Ken's bday party, for those in NYC
Possible low-key pillage for early arrivals, pm for info.

SATURDAY (my mom's bday. please remind me to call. please.):
2pm Monster Truck Show , $10ish, MCI Center. Meetup at F and 5th.
4:30pm Slow easy orientation for the out of towners ride, dinner, ****ing cheap drinks, BF love. Meetup at 14th & K.
5:30om if you missed the ride you can find us getting ****faced at Asylum on $.25 high life pints.
8pm Registration, meetup at Warehouse (Remember, kids, 8pm registration means the race is gonna start sometime after 9pm, so don't get your panties in a bundle about getting there on time, ok?)
madness to follow.

SUNDAY (Ken's freaking birthday):
fix events, as Dan schedules.
afternoon ride and beer, sunday style. details TBA.

MONDAY:
12:30pm - National Zoo - butterstick (the baby panda) viewing. I have 18 tix.

who's in?
Chicago? Boston? SF? we want to see you all out there. this is not a race to be missed.
i'm posting this plenty early so that you can make travel arrangements and commence smack-talking.

speaking of smack talking... it's been a while since i've gotten to race for real. i'm looking forward to it, and i'm going to bring it. game on.

I have to be honest, I tried to drink down a sparx and coughed it up because it tasted worse than 3 year old cough syrup that had been sitting in the sun.

Whats the secret to enjoying it

I need a place to sleep.

My resume: I like to race hard and hopefully I'll have a decent ride but regardless:

I love to drink too much.
I have no social skills but I'll try hard to be nice + entertaining, if that's yer bag.
I am pretty nice + honest with inclinations towards cleaning.

So you won't have to worry about my 40's. I'll even buy or trash yours!!!

i might come, if my money lets me.

obviously, nyc will rep.

now who can house me. i am a slob, drink too mush, and i have that farting disease.

oh yeah, i'll also need sex.

chimblysweep
12-28-05, 07:20 AM
ella: you can crash at my house. i'll pm you.

PNC's house will also be in full effect. he gets home from Tokyo on the 13th, so it's cutting it close, but he left spud in charge of it, so, yeah.

and... BF people... wanna do something before or after? I know s_9's birthday shindig is on Friday night in NYC. what if we did something either saturday late afternoon (3?) or sunday night? (do folks work on Monday? pretty much nobody in DC does cuz it's a federal holiday.) we could do our own dorky races, or we could just sit at a bar and get drunk. i like both.

Butterstick viewing and Cardoza track races!

chimblysweep

Word. s_9 birthday party at Capones on Friday the 13th - a precursor (WITH GOLDSPRINTS) to the late night frostbite. Capones=221 N. 9th St in Williamsburg

QUALIFICATIONS: Someone must drag my unwilling ass on a bus down to DC. I won't be feeling well, and will complain the whole way, but it just won't be the same without me.

chimblysweep
12-28-05, 08:43 AM
here's my suggestion: get on the bus directly from the bar, when you're still drunk, and carry booze with you. drink on the bus (maybe sleep a little), then crash once you hit DC.

last time I went to DC after drinking too much the night before, I ended up missing most of my friend's wedding because I basically woke up too late & nearly missed my ride down. Actually, my ride was kind enough to wait for my hungover, irresponsible self, and didn't kill me on the way down. She did pee in a cup in the front seat while her boyfriend was driving though. What's the point of all this? The point is that I heard the LNFB is dope, and NYC had a hell of a time last year, so we'll all go down again and rock it the way we rock.

I promise to not make such a quick exit as I did from the rico suave race....so I may end up at poopncow's as well (VA is sooo far away!) the more the merrier, right?!

chombo, I'll race you for the air mattress, which definitively leaves me sleeping on the floor. ;)

yes! this is going to be awesome. I'm definitely selling whatever internal organs I have left for a decent wheel set now!

I vote for getting completely wrecked at capones and doing a mass exodus on the chinatown express so everyone can have their turn to fend off s_9's advances through the long and cold night/day ahead.

so, i just learned that MCI Center is hosting a Monster Truck Rally that weekend - and tickets are $10 ea but half price if you get a coupon from some auto supply store (i'll figure it out) or if you go topless. I think it could be fun to get completely smashed, smuggle in flasks, watch monster trucks, and then race.

is it just me?

edit: got more info. it's the "Monster Jam" and there's a 2pm saturday show. (the 8pm show would be too late for us to make the race).

There are some of us Pittsburgh kids thinking of coming down... My roommate and I were thinking of hitting up some culture in DC, like the museums beforehand, but a monster truck rally is definitely on the same cultural footing.

cultural!

well, i'm sure there will be no shortage of tickets. we'll add the 2pm monster truck rally to the weekend schedule (along with the race, a sunday BF afterparty in the afternoon/evening, and butterstick viewing on monday). we'll get tix at the door.

It would not be a good pirate if I did not offered up some place for people to crash.

I have a futon and some floor space. Don't have that big of an apt., but anyone is more that welcome. I live close to Chimbly and its not a bad ride to Poop's.

expect NJ to be there!

But i'll probably broke again and will have more sparks with me then i do money so i think sparks should become an alternetive curency for entry fee's...

Does anyone know when Mr Dan Gordon is supposed to be sending out housing info?
Im counting the days and trying to fix my rear wheel!

I think you should try to get housing with us pirates before hitting up Dan. He's got lots of requests to deal with, so we should take the load off him as much as possible.
Booger just offered space for 2 it sounds like. PM to reserve.

Yes, PM to reserve. I can take 2 people on the futon if you don't mind sleeping with someone, and a few on the floor. I would say I could put up 4 to 5 max.

No ****, Brad, coming to town? That's hot.

I'll absolutely offer my extra space, but I live in the goddamned boonies and it's a good 10 min bike ride to the metro from my house and that's just to the end point of the red line.

More details about what's going on that day, p'raps?

ok, the schedule so far:

FRIDAY NIGHT:
Ken's bday party, for those in NYC
Possible low-key pillage for early arrivals

SATURDAY:
2pm Monster Truck Show (http://www.ushra.com/) , $5, MCI Center. Meetup at F and 5th.
9pm Race, meetup at Warehouse (Home base!)
madness to follow.

SUNDAY:
fix events, as Dan schedules.
*BFFG meetup. time to be determined, based on whether folks are staying over till monday. I'd prefer it was a night thing, but if folks are leaving in the evening, it should be more 3pm-ish.

MONDAY:
12:30pm - National Zoo - butterstick (the baby panda) viewing. I have 18 tix.
1:30-ish - Asylum brunch. Cuz that's how we roll.

*NOTE TO OUT OF TOWN KIDS: PM me with when you're leaving so we can make sure everyone can make our big drunken group hug. Also, if it's not too much trouble, lemme know which of these things you'll be going to, just so we have an idea.

ps- it has been made blatantly clear to me by a number of drunken louts that the race is indeed called the LATE night frostbite, and not the Midnight frostbite. I am henceforth to correct and blatherings of mine, and soforth. gawd. big deal.

i'm also supposed to stop calling this the interweb, and i'm no longer allowed access to the wireness interweb.

sorry.
