Can anyone offer any opinions about road biking in PEI, Canada? I'm thinking of planning a cycling trip there this summer. I know the scenery is gorgeous, but what are the ROADS like? Hilly? Flat? Lotsa traffic?

I haven't been in PEI since... errr... 1977... On the other hand, considering that the Island's ppulation is overwhelmingly rural, and that only 60,000 of 134,000 inhabitants actually live in "cities" [principally the two major towns, Charlottetown and Sumerside], I can't imagine that the traffice would be all that bad.
Topographically, PEI is mostly rolling hills. There are no mountains on the island, and the terrain is actually somewhat reminiscent of New England...
The Confederation Trail is a mostly hardpack/rolled stone road that has no automobile traffic at all. I remember most of the roads being pretty good... but that was 25 years ago.
I do remember that everything tasted of fish, though... including the milk...
