The Reach is made by Pacific Cycle (Taiwan), who OEM the Birdy, Kuwahara, Bianchi (JP), and Tartaruga among others.

A semi-folder/collapsible 20" with full suspension, 11kg, USD1,100 suggested retail. Very nice!

This is very close to the Japanese models of Tartaruga Sport 'SD' and Bianchi 'Fenice Flat Bar' in design, spec, and close in price.

Just less flash and closer to the source.

Wicked-slick ride. I'd buy this over a 700c composite road bike any day.

Also similar to the 2006 Louis Garneau MVF ... also OEM'd at Pacific TW:

The Reach is an impressive looking machine and the Road model looks like it is built for speed. It appears to be aimed at the Bike Friday/Airnimal market, and as such it would not be best suited for a daily (and busy) multi-modal commute. However, it looks like it would pack down easily enough in a suitcase. The pricing is competitive and the suspension looks interesting. Does anybody own one of these bikes yet?

I was tempted by another folder with drops earlier this year - the limited edition Birdy 10 Year Anniversary model. Unfortunately, it sold-out very quickly in the UK...
