Anyone have experience with this particular tandem or anything from bikebuyers.com (heck, didn't even know they existed until seeing their ad on a thread here).

We just bought a Trek T900 last year for the wife and me but now the kids (13 and 11) want their own tandem. We are not a heavy bike use family and would rather not spend $800 plus for a tandem the kids may use 5-10 times a year. So any information you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have ridden a Micargi . . . might as well buy one at Wall-mart!
It will cost you more to keep it running than the original investment.
Suggest you find a used one at a yard sale/swap meet/newspaper.

Thanks. I'll try to keep my eyes open for a used one.

(We did have an $80 tandem from a friend. That was what got us hooked on tandems, but we certainly couldn't work with it. We are a large team and it was a small frame.)
