You just gotta be positive and keep positive friends around you. That's what I'm set on doing this next year. Haters, beware

well I must admit there are some shallow soles here tonight. I posted a real question that has been waying on my mind and waited a few hours for responces and only one brave sole has responded. maybee I should have written a fluffy tittle like, (what is this burrning felling when I pee.) that would have got huge a responce.....

thanks :) I wish you all the best next year

It's hard though to confront yourself and not fall back into the established pattern that you're trying to get out of. But I think it's not impossible if you truly want to do it.

patterns must be broken!

While this is a difficult question to formulate a response to, I do think I'm going sign up for a Hooked On Phonics class or two and I'm going to learn to spell. That should make me a fairly shrewd soul. ;)

Thank you, Stacey. Someone had to say it.

Me? I'm going to do remarkable things for the people around me.

You're welcome, my pleasure.

Truthfully, I'm trying to decide wether to do grand things in small ways or small things in grand ways.

Discuss.

I learned years ago I should not make promises I cannot keep. So, instead of using the end of one year to promise myself or others a better one next year, I just keep on keeping on. Good times have no schedule. And Bad times certainly march to their own tune. So I will only promise to take it as it comes and keep up the struggle to better myself.

I'm going to try to be a better sister to my older brother, him and I have never really gotten along and last night I spent some time in the hosptial cause they thought he had a heart attack. He is way to young to have health issues so I'm going to be MORE supportive. :)

My biggest goal is to figure out how to balance cycling and marriage. It's not easy to do but I am working on it. I have started doing all of my gym workouts in the mornings before work, this allows me to spend more time at home with my wife in the evenings.

My bit is the same one I go through every year...to quit being so shy...I've been improving, but there's still some work to go.

I wanna learn to ride my new bike to the edge of its abilities. Massage out every bit of power I can. Ride the twisties like I've been on a motorcycle my whole life. Learn the subtleties of the beautiful dance of girl and machine on a mountain road.

Try to be a little more personable. Not more social, as I already am pretty social, just a little more approachable and friendly. Also lose weight, although I'm already pretty small by most standards. I'd like to get down to 150 by summer.

Yea well, you added the " H " and I will always hold you in awe...

the "H" always has no place in the toxic rage that some how guides my soul......

This isn't a new year resolution as such, something I've been working on since november. I can be really nasty to people when they annoy me, like say stupidly mean and personal things over something minor, and I've hurt alot of people this way. So I'd like to stop that.

And I guess I'd like to stop letting people into my life who hurt me...I'm too lenient in that respect...I forgive easily, but sometimes I shouldn't. So yeah...those two things taken care of and I'll be perfect:)

Heh, for some reason I have a feeling you have a trip to the track in your future.

Sounds just like I was when I got my first sports car. Pretty much by the time the mustang I had in san jose bit the dust, it was to the point that I found the car boring. That's the only bad part of getting really good....upgraditis....or is that the best part? :D

(yes, my next car will be turbo...possibly twin...as fun as the track is, it's SO much better when the car can scare the crap out of you)

Quit smoking tobacco. New job (hopefully self employed.)

Start smoking crack.

Front brake and new fork that allows it for my Bianchi.

Honestly, there's so much that I don't even really know where to begin...

well javna, thanks for opening up, there are those of us who can appreciate such candor. forgiveness rains supreme, and personaly I'am that sort of guy that just seems to walk away from rude assholish type folk, but I have tried to adopt a new policy that says hey if you are stupid then I can get twice as stupid. so dont loose your spunk! but I wish you well on your heart felt changes.... That's the good part of being a grad student. I can't buy something with more ponies until I get out of grad school. By then I will have learned enough about control on the 250 to be good at the track on a bigger bike. You can push the 250 so close to it's top speed (slightly over 100) on the highway that I can learn more on the road. Stupid stuff will still be saved for track days in a few years.

It's actually up 20lbs from when I left high school, and that was 12 years ago...

I'm not looking to get fat or anything, but I could use some upper body strength...
